Campus Security can present unique challenges. Systems need to be IP based so that they can be controlled from a central server(s). We design systems that have redundant functionality so if the connection to the server fails, the buildings will still operate in a stand-alone mode until the connection is restored.
In some campus settings, not all buildings have LAN connectivity. We are able to deploy inexpensive wireless point-to-point for our equipment. This provides a low cost solution for connecting IP based Security Solutions in buildings not on the campus backbone.
Most campus settings have manned guard positions. We design our systems with guard post notifications and controls in mind. When deployed in this way, Physical Security can be a great tool for a guard post to enhance the services they provide. If you don’t have guards yet, the system can still be designed for future expansion in that area.
Emergency Call Stations:
These provide safety and security for the outdoor areas that are heavily traveled on foot. These call boxes provide real security as well as a visual reminder that help is just a touch away.
